The ARI DX 2025 Results has been released by the contest manager Filippo Vairo/IZ1LBG. You can download them in .pdf format from this link. The propagation didn’t help us in the 2025 issue, for this the logs received from foreing station were a little bit less than 2024.

One week after ARI DX Contest 2025. Until today 1436 logs arrived to contest committee, it confirm a small decreasing of logs respect last year, but we can check it esactly at the pubblication final results.

This year i used the special contest call IP3U. Now I’ll propose my raw score, the statistics and few comments. First the table rate graph with qso per hours and bands:

Less than one month to the Italian International Dx Contest 2025. It will take place the first weekend of may starting at 12:00 UTC of saturday 3rd and ending sunday 4th at 11:59 UTC. It’s a world wide type, but qso with italian station counts 10 points and each italian province counts one multiplier other than the DXCC list and WAE list. I’ll participate with a new special contest call IP3U.

The CQ organisation published the CQ 160CW raw scores 2025. The participation has been massive they received 2107 logs from world wide.

I hope for a better performance next year.

In order to make copying easier the reports from italian stations during the ARI International Dx Contest, I submit a tables of HamRadio prefixes Italian provinces, with the two letters abbreviation of each 107 provincies. I remember the date and time: it begin at 12:00 UTC of saturday may 3rd and finish at 11:59 UTC of sunday may 4th, 2025.

The tables will follow:

The ARRL CW 2025, has been the first contest in which i used my new special contest call IP3U. I got a lot of fun, what a pity the contest is 48 hours long. I don’t enjoy the two days long contests. I prefer the 24 hour ones like the ARI International Dx Contest that take place the first weekend of may.

There have been a lot of participants both from North America and outside North America. In few hours I contacted almost 500 North American stations.

EUDX 2025 comments. Despite its fifth edition the EUDX contest organization received 1881 logs. Bands was crowded and i had a lot of fun.

I operated for thirteen hours in Single Operator CW High Power category. I used six bands with 500 watt excluded on 160 metres that I have 100 watt only. The EUDX is world wide type contest but most traffic has been exchanged between european stations. I didn’t contacted any african station and just a few North American stations.

The EUDX 2025 comments will follow with my declared score and statistics, elaborated by the logger QARTest.

A few comments about last CQWW 160 CW 2025 just passed.

I had been always interested in the low band since I was radio officer in the italian merchant ships. In that times I often used medium waves on the distress an calling frequencies of 500 kHz CW and 2.182 kHz AM or SSB.

In this band I use an inverted V dipole with the extremes folded and the top 12 metres high. It is tuned exactly on the band’s segment from 1830 kHz to 1850 kHz where the ROS is 1:1. I use a RTX Kenwood TS850S with maximum power output 100 watt. I haven’t any linear amplifier on this band.
