ARIDX International 2026 Comments

ARIDX International 2026 Comments. Our ARI International HF Dx contest 2026 is finished. I don’t know if my performance has be satisfied. This year I changed category. I participated in Single Operator Mixed High Power, instead of my usual one, Single operator CW Low Power. I have to consider two situations. The first one is that the DVK (Digital Voice Keyer) didn’t work good, although it was checked before on the air with other friends. The second one is that, the high power give me almost 200 qso more, in CW mode, than the last year with 100 Watt. I didn’t use the RTTY mode

I post the picture of the summary table generated by the contest logger QARTest:

.

I got 845 qso, 836 in CW mode and just 6 in SSB, with 202 multipliers. I just passed the minimun target of 200.000 points I had set for myself. The propagation wasn’t so good, rather discreet. As a result, he high bands suffered a little, infact on 10 metres I performed only 14 qso. The best bands were 40 and 20 metres.

Now I post the rate graph of the 24 hours contest:

The participation has been good specially from european stations. I often had pileup of 5/6 stations calling me. My antennas and 500 Watt made themselves heard. I contacted all continents as you can see on the next tables of multipliers.

And now a few contest’s statistics generated by the logger QARTest:

The 82% of qso has been made with europen stations. I contacted just two stations on five bands: LZ5R and P3X.

In conclusion, I don’t know what I can expect from this contest as this category is new for me. I performed the best job possible for my rig and myself. So I have better to wait the raw score and the final result to decide to continue in this category or came back to the CW only category. However, one think I’m sure, I’ll continue in the high power, I’m too old to toil with 100 Watt.
