ARI INTERNATIONAL DX CONTEST 2020 STATISTICS AFTER CONTEST
A very nice contest indeed this year. A lot of stations from Europe, North America and Asia. I operated CW only, with 100 W and enjoied it very much. The propagation conditions was poor to fair, for this reason i avoided the 10 meters band, in order to dont lost time. I operated a little bit less than 24 hours, at the end i was tired but satisfied.
Un contest davvero entusiasmante quest’anno. Molte stazioni dall’Europa, dal Nord America e dall’Asia. Ho operato in CW con solo 100 W e mi è piaciuto molto. Le condizioni di propagazione erano mediocri, per questo motivo ho evitato la banda di 10 metri per non perdere tempo. Ho operato un pò meno di 24 ore, alla fine ero stanco ma soddisfatto.

A good idea to facilitate the reception of the two letters that identify italian provinces, is to use the QARTest contest logger. It’s an italian logger built by Paolo ik3qar , the program may be downloaded from here.

The ARI International Dx Contest 2020, is a world wide type, every one can contact every one. Only qso betweeing italian stations are not permitted. The full rules are here.

Less than 45 days to the ARI International Dx Contest 2020. The first week end of may. From 12.00 UTC of saturday 2nd may 2020 to 11.59 UTC sunday 3rd may 2020.
Remember, all Italian stations count ten points and each Italian province counts one multiplier. In this link, on the A.R.I., Italian Radio Amateur Association organizer of the contest, you can find the complete contest rules.

The contest Commission published the results of the ARI INTERNATIONAL DX CONTEST 2019 on the december 2019 issue of Radio Rivista the magazine of A.R.I., Associazione Radio Amatori Italiani. Lavorato un po’ di ore nel CQ WW 160-meter contest CW 2020, per 325 qso e 50 countries. E’ stata la mia prima partecipazione in questo contest. Sono stato molto sorpreso dall’alta partecipazione. E’ bello sentire i 160 metri così affollati. Rig: dipolo ripiegato e 80 watt. Farò il possibile per esserci anche l’anno prossimo, magari con un’pò di potenza in più.
I worked a few hours, less than seven, in the CQ WW 160-meter contest 2020, cw mode, I get 325 qso and 50 countries. It was my first participation in the CQ WW 160-meter contest. I have been happily surprised for the high participation. It’s nice heard the 160 meter band crowded. My Rig: folded dipole and 80 watt. I’ll do my best to participate the next year, even with more power.

Here is the diploma awarded for my participation in the contest. The result is unsatisfactory. I will try to improve performance next year.
